Skid Row is on Google Maps

And if you need
to travel from the
Westside, to East
Los, you may pass
close or through, and
witness madness, pain,
the lonely mumblings
of a someone you will
never know — and why
would you? You think.

In the Hollywood
Hills, producers sleep
soundly. Monday you will
go to work. Politicians will
cite the crisis. And Skid
Row will wake up and
slumber, be raided and
rebuild. No one will admit
it, not at dinner or on
tv, but Skid Row remains
because it is useful:
keep going, it screams
or else.
